The Challenge:

Hoburne’s existing HRIS solution was not meeting the demands of the business as it grew. Being a post driven platform it could not cope with employee in-company movements. There was also limited ESS and rostering was managed off system.

The Process:

Hoburne chose Silver Cloud HR to support the end to end process. We provided dedicated project resource to manage project readiness, selection, implementation and go live of a new HR, rostering and payroll platform.

The Results:

The PeopleXD project was delivered within budget and on time just before the first lockdown took hold. This meant that emergency employee processes could be implemented through the solution rather than manually.

The Challenge:

Stephenson Harwood had no global HR system and all offices outside of the UK were working from spreadsheets.  UK payroll involved an extensive amount of duplication and manual processes. Global reporting was manual and very time-consuming and there were no integrations to other business systems.
There was no self-service in place and therefore HR was heavily administrative leaving them unable to focus on more strategic initiatives.

The Process:

Stephenson Harwood chose Silver Cloud HR to support the selection and implementation of their new global HR and payroll platform. We provided a full-time project manager to work across all locations to gather requirements and support them through an RFP process to select an integrated HR and payroll system.

In addition, their Silver Cloud Project Manager also supported them through the selection of a learning management platform and new BACS software. Silver Cloud managed the full end-to-end RFP and implementation process into all countries.

We continue to work alongside SH today to support them with training, data reconciliation, new functionality and upgrades of their systems..

The Results:

The project was delivered within budget and on time taking 12 months to select and implement. All countries went live with self-service within a 2-week period and now manage their own data.

An integrated payroll module for the UK meant that double entry of data was eliminated, and many processes automated.  Data feeds, via Intapp, were built to feed all other systems including Active Directory and the new PMS, Aderant.  Employees were able to access their payslips within their own CoreHR portal and payroll was brought back in-house whilst reducing time spent on payroll processes.

Silver Cloud were also able to build a dashboard of reports for both HR and other parts of the Firm which meant that data could be accessed via self-service and access controlled.

The Challenge:

Addleshaw Goddard had a tier 1 HCM solution in place for several years albeit, utilising a historical, on-premise version. They felt they were no longer gaining the benefits newer technology could offer and Silver Cloud were engaged to conduct a full digital review. We recommended AG scoped the market for a new, cloud-based solution, which offered seamless integration and greater reporting capabilities. .

The Process:

Silver Cloud HR went on to provide full selection support services for both a new HCM solution and further supported a second selection process to find both a new UK payroll solution and a global, outsourced managed payroll partner.

The Results:

Addleshaw Goddard selected Workday for UK HCM and Payroll and ActivePayroll as their global payroll managed service partner. AG went live with phase 1 in July 2020 and with their payroll service this month (Nov 2020).

The Challenge:

Howard Kennedy, were seeking to digitise their key HR processes, which included the requirement for a new recruitment, HCM and performance management solution. They selected Sage People and Silver Cloud HR were selected to deliver their implementation. 

The Process:

A Silver Cloud HR consultant worked with Howard Kennedy over 4 months on the discovery, configuration, testing and deployment of Sage People. In delivering the project, Silver Cloud followed an agile approach to ensure each workstream was delivered within the required timescales. In addition to supporting deployment, Silver Cloud facilitated several accredited training sessions to upskill the HR team and their end-users to ensure the new system was fully adopted and the team saw a return on their investment.

The Results:

Howard Kennedy successfully went live with their full suite of functionality on time and continue to see the benefits digitising their processes has delivered.

The Challenge:

Aspen approached Silver Cloud to support them in conducting a digital review of their Payroll solution. Operating globally, Aspen had a number of outsourced bureau and managed service arrangements in place and needed our input to see how and where processes could be optimised and how they could gain greater insights into their group level data.  In particular, Aspen were looking to reduce manual intervention, improve integration with other people systems and optimise processes to support future growth.

The Process:

Silver cloud facilitated a series of 4 remote workshops to review the current process and enable Silver Cloud to produce a full Payroll strategic review, which will help the Head of HR Shared Services plan their wider Payroll strategy.  This was achieved by focusing on the vision, current technology provision, current effectiveness of HR operations facilitated by the HR technology and willingness to change.   

During our sessions, our consultants spent time with the Head of HR Shared Services, the global payroll, HR and benefits teams to understand their current system perceptions and to identify their requirements for improvements and understand the current use of technology, identifying constraints and challenges.  

The Results:

Silver Cloud Put forward a series of 4, fully appraised options for Aspen to consider as next steps, together with their recommended approach of aligning their service provision globally.

The Challenge:

MHA Macintyre Hudson’s HRIS was reaching it’s end of life whereby the vendor was no no longer supporting the solution.  In addition, over time, as their technology had not kept pace, processes had slowly transitioned to being managed by a series of disparate spreadsheets and the team were struggling to identify a single source of truth for their data.

The Process:

Silver Cloud supported MHA by firstly mapping their as-is processes’ and conducting a full requirements gathering exercise to fully understand their needs.  From here, Silver cloud supported a selection tender and MHA selected CoreHR. Finally, Silver Cloud went on to provide project management and consultancy for the deployment of recruitment, HCM, talent and payroll.

The Results:

The project deployed on time, within 12 months and Silver Cloud went on to provide additional consultancy to help the MHA team embed the solution.

The Challenge:

Trinity House (TH) approximately 300 employees spread across their offices based in Harwich and London, and on their ships and lighthouses. They, felt they had reached  appoint where there were too many challenges with their current HRIS and payroll solution and therefore asked Silver Cloud HR to conduct an initial health check and provide recommendations.

The Process:

During the health check Silver Cloud found that whilst HR processes were generally working well, most were backed up with spreadsheets and paper checklists, which created a duplication of effort and were borne out of the teams lack of trust in the technology.  The team were also compensating for a lack of automation in their current solution and as a result, their processes had become convoluted and admin heavy.

The Results:

Following a thorough review, Silver Cloud concluded that further enhancements to their current solution would not bring the process efficiencies the Trinity House HR and Payroll teams were looking to make. As a result, Silver Cloud recommended Trinity house consider tendering for a new solution  and went on to support them with requirements gathering.

The Process:

Over the course of several weeks, a Silver Cloud HR Consultant held a series of meetings with the HR, learning and payroll teams to  understand their current system perceptions, to understand the current use of technology, identifying constraints and challenges, and to identify their requirements for improvements.  

The Results:

Silver cloud presented a series of recommendations together with a SWOT analysis of the current/future state. In addition, Silver cloud produced a suite of functional requirements, across all areas in scope for The Stroke Association to use during a tender process.

The Challenge:

The SCTS’s HRIS technology had not kept pace with more modern, emerging solutions in this space and as such, processes had slowly transitioned to being managed by a series of disparate spreadsheets and systems and the team were struggling to identify a single source of truth for their data.  Having reached the conclusion internally, to seek and alternative, new solution, SCTS engaged Silver Cloud HR to support their selection process.

The Process:

Over the course of several days, A Silver Cloud HR Consultant held a series of meetings with the HR and payroll teams to to understand their current system perceptions and to identify their requirements for improvements and understand the current use of technology, identifying constraints and challenges.   Following the meetings, Silver cloud developed a suite of requirements and in collaboration with the SCTS procurement team issued a tender for a new HRIS and payroll solution.

The Results:

SCTS went on to select and implement MHR iTrent.

The Challenge:

Supporting Education currently operate a number of different HR systems across the group of 9 companies which means reporting and a business-wide view of people was not possible.  Supporting Education asked Silver Cloud to help procure a new business solutions that would bring together all people data into a single source as well as bring new functionality, such as self-service and an ATS. 

The Process:

Over the course of several weeks, a Silver Cloud HR Consultant held a series of information gathering workshops with the HR and operational teams to understand their current system perceptions, to understand the current use of technology, identifying constraints and challenges, and to identify their requirements for improvements.  

Following the workshops, Silver cloud developed a suite of requirements and issued a tender for a new HRIS solution.

EPM are a UK based business who offer HR and payroll support to the education industry. They currently processes in excess of 100,000 payslips each month on behalf of their clients, however it has been recognised that payroll could be made more efficient and therefore asked Silver Cloud to complete an As Is and gap analysis exercise to look at the current ways of working and make recommendations for the future.

Silver Cloud was engaged to conduct an initial health check and information / requirements gathering phase with the business, leading to the presentation of a long list of potential options, or recommendations for Lane4 to continue the process of selecting a relevant new HR system.  The main areas for concern were data and data quality, usability and user experience of the current system, lack of workflow and poor reporting functionality, all of which were rated as important when interviewing stakeholders.

The Process:

Silver Cloud met with key stakeholders from the business in July 2019 to collect information relevant to the current HR system and identify current challenges and opportunities for improvement.  Silver Cloud met with members of the talent acquisition, HR, IT and digital learning teams.

The Results:

Following the review, Silver Cloud recommend Lane 4 looked to replace the current system with a new cloud-based HR solution.

Creation of RFPs where applicable, assessing vendors for suitability and assisting vendors with creation of the requirements matrix.

Compiling costings and collating all responses into master document.

4. VENDOR EVALUATIONS

Analysing all information and demo feedback, reviewing implementation scope of works to ensure timescales and costs are realistic.

Benchmarking, creating options document with full functionality spec, reviewing contracts, guidance on negotiations.

Typically, payment is spread across three phases, dependent on deliverables, providing a clear and manageable route to selection. Invoices will be set at 50% on kick off, followed by 30% and 20% respectively, upon completion of each phase.
