An exciting opportunity to join our HiBob Practice to lead successful HiBob implementations for our clients. You will act as the primary point of contact, understanding client needs, providing expert guidance, and ensuring effective platform use. This role involves managing multiple projects, delivering on time, and maintaining high-quality outcomes. Strong project management skills, HRIS expertise, and a client-centric approach are essential. Reporting to the Head of Practice (HiBob), this remote role offers flexibility, occasional travel, and an 80% billable utilisation target.

About this role

We are looking for an experienced HiBob HRIS Consultant to join our dynamic team.  

As a HRIS Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of the HiBob platform to clients, working closely with them to understand their unique requirements, providing expert guidance, and helping them fully leverage the capabilities of the HiBob solution. 

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly client-focused, a strong communicator and brings extensive experience in HR systems implementation.  

The role is home-based but requires flexibility to travel for team days and to be on-site with clients as needed. The role is full-time, however part-time/flexible working opportunities will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Client Project Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end HiBob HR and Payroll implementations, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems and on-time delivery managing scope, timelines, and resources while adhering to project methodology and KPIs.
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, taking a client-centric approach to understand their business goals and objectives, their system requirements, and advising on best practices for Bob configuration and optimisation whilst ensuring alignment to UK payroll compliance standards.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to gather requirements aligned with business and payroll needs.
  • Manage a detailed project plan, RAID logs and project status reports/updates to ensure the project status is communicated internally and externally.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, escalating to management when appropriate.
Payroll Implementation, Reconciliation & Compliance
  • Lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of UK payroll in HiBob or via integrated providers, ensuring accurate tax codes, NI calculations, pension schemes, statutory pay, and BACS processes are aligned to current legislation.
  • Manage and execute payroll parallel run processes, ensuring accurate comparison between legacy and new payroll systems.
  • Lead reconciliation of payroll data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring clean transition and sign-off ahead of go-live.
  • Liaise with finance, HR, and payroll partners to resolve payroll-related issues or delays.
System Configuration & Data
  • Configure HiBob modules in line with scoped requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support around data migration activities whilst ensuring data integrity.
  • Manage and validate data imports including employee, compensation, time off, and historical payroll data.
  • Conduct end-to-end system testing and support clients through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Enablement & Training
  • Deliver tailored training sessions (e.g., payroll compliance workshops or HR workflow configuration demos) to ensure confident, long-term platform adoption.
  • Deliver tailored system training to HR and Payroll users, including go-live preparation and post-launch guidance.
  • Create support materials and contribute to internal knowledge base content for clients.
  • Empower clients to manage the system post-implementation through confident knowledge transfer.
Post-Go-Live & Support
  • Provide stabilisation support following go-live to ensure payroll and HR processes are running smoothly.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and escalating system or payroll issues as required.
  • Recommend optimisation opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery methodology.
Practice Development, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Sales and Marketing, and HiBob stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and resolve any client issues.
  • Support the Head of Practice to develop and grow the HiBob practice, including presales, recruitment, our service offering and process improvement.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve implementation processes, tools, and client engagement strategies.
  • Facilitate and drive own learning and development, keeping up to date on solution advancements.
  • Attending networking and vendor events to help promote Silver Cloud.

Skills and requirements

System and Technical Knowledge
  • Proven experience implementing or supporting HiBob or similar HR and Payroll systems (e.g., HiBob, ADP, Sage, Moorepay, IRIS, etc.).
  • CIPP qualification or working toward it preferred.
  • Previous experience with payroll integrations via sFTP or API.
  • Exposure to payroll auditing and system-to-system reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll reconciliations and parallel pay runs.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data cleansing and validation.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes (e.g., talent management, time and attendance, compensation, performance management, workforce planning) and how HRIS solutions support these processes.
  • Solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including RTI, pension auto-enrolment, P11Ds, and year-end processes.
  • Knowledge of other regions’ payroll legislation (e.g., Ireland, EMEA) is a plus.

  • Experience in Project Management, with a proven ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within scope.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with an appreciation for the importance of timely, complete, and accurate documentation.
  • A completer-finisher who keeps track of open items and sees actions through to closure.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Client-centric mindset and professional manner, with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, capable of engaging, building trust, and effectively managing client expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with clients.
