About the project

Cripps is a leading UK law firm with 500 employees. When they realised that their existing HR platform wasn’t keeping up with the needs of a growing, highly regulated organisation, they knew they’d need to go to selection.

However, with a busy people team and a rapidly expanding HR tech landscape to navigate, it would have been difficult to go it alone. After exploring a variety of consultancies, the team chose Silver Cloud based on our long history of working with legal firms on HR tech implementations.  

The challenge

The Cripps team had been struggling with retaining top talent and needed a new system that would support their growth plans, scaling alongside them. Their existing system wasn’t integrated with their payroll and didn’t include any Applicant Tracking functionality.

Beyond that, they needed that platform to help them boost their culture by making HR more self-service, giving them deeper insights with data and surveys and taking the manual tasks out of performance management.

The solution

They worked with our Silver Cloud team to clarify their needs and go to market to find the right system. After exploring all of their options, it became clear that Dayforce was the stand out vendor – able to provide most of their requirements that a growing law firm needed. It would give their people team back much needed time that had previously been taken up with manual tasks and make sure that their data had one source of truth, eliminating the need for multiple records to be kept.  

After ultimately selecting Dayforce, Cripps worked with Silver Cloud again on the implementation part of the project. Silver Cloud, already familiar with the needs of the business, worked with the Cripps team to make sure that Dayforce was set up in a way that worked for their business. The Silver Cloud consultants involved in the project were able to answer questions and respond quickly any time new queries occurred.

The future

 With the Cripps team now up and running on Dayforce, they are rapidly growing and glad to be on their new platform. The team credits the thorough and structured implementation work done by Silver Cloud with their ability to get to grips with the inner workings of Dayforce, giving them confidence ahead of go live.

Cripps aims to be the pre-eminent law firm in the South by 2027 and now they have a system that is designed to support their people and take away admin headaches.
