What does a Silver Cloud project manager do?
Project planning and governance
We'll work with the vendor's project manager to agree and manage the project plan as well as manage resource plans. Our project managers will also coordinate, chair and document regular meetings, manage issues and risk logs, manage escalations and act as the go-to person for both internal and vendor project teams.
Readiness & Discovery
As well as attending all discovery workshops and facilitating discussions on solution design, we'll use our knowledge and expertise to advise you on potential implications and manage the design specification against your requirements.
We'll also work with IT to ensure your IT infrastructure is in place for the new solution as well as design and implement required integrations.
Our project managers can assist with decision making regarding data transfer as well as support the extraction of data from the legacy system and other legacy sources.
This includes test runs of data migration as well as fixing data errors and omissions.
No project is complete without a comprehensive change management strategy - in fact, it can make all the difference when it comes to user adoption and the overall success of an implementation project.
To help ensure success, we'll support any communications including emails, intranet updates, attending team meetings and board level updates to help raise engagement levels.
We will also coordinate training for super-users and HR administrators and provide 'train the trainer' training where required.
Testing is a vital stage of all implementation projects, so we'll not only design and facilitate the test strategy, but will be on hand to support all testers within the project team and in the wider business, as well as help raise and resolve any issues.
Working with the vendor and client SMEs to agree the strategy and approach to parallel running, we'll also support the inputting of data and actively work through reconciliation errors - using our knowledge and experience to assist in finding the root cause of any errors.
