The challenge

Pollen Street Capital’s previous HR system covered the basics but lacked the flexibility and insight the HR team needed. Reporting was limited, customisation was difficult, and key talent management features such as engagement surveys and goal setting were not fit for purpose.

As the organisation matured, these gaps became more noticeable. The team wanted a system that could support meaningful performance conversations and give them better visibility across the business.

Nikki Partridge led the search for a new solution, drawing on feedback from HR peers, while the organisation’s CTO also consulted their own technology network. Several options were explored, including whether additional tools could be integrated alongside the existing system.

Consistent feedback from both HR and technology communities pointed to HiBob as the strongest overall option for Pollen Street.

The future

With HiBob now embedded as Pollen Street’s core HR platform, the team has continued to build on the initial implementation, including expanding its use of the platform into payroll and integrating their background screening checks.

The team remains focused on making the most of HiBob and making sure that any future HR technology or providers integrate effectively with its core platform, creating a streamlined experience for both employees and HR.

With a solid foundation in place and a positive implementation experience behind them, Pollen Street Capital now has a more flexible HR system that can grow with the business and support its people strategy for the long term.
