“As a newly accredited consultant of Ceridian software, it has been refreshing to see how they approach the challenges that traditionally come with deploying HCM, time & attendance and payroll.
Traditionally, these functions are configured separately, often by separate consultants who specialise in each functional area. Historically however, this can cause challenges as both HR and payroll rely on how time is configured in order to operate effectively.
With a siloed approach to deployment there is a risk that each SME is not fully aware of how the other function is configured and what impact that may have on outputs down the line. For example, a Pay consultant may not be aware of how HR and time have been set up, resulting in challenges along the way.
To address this, Ceridian has taken a holistic approach, with all of their consultants accredited to deliver HCM, time and pay functionality.
An outstanding feature of the Ceridian solution, and a key strength that will benefit businesses, particularly during current times, is their management scheduler which controls employee shift rotations.
As we all adjust to the ‘new normal’ post COVID-19, organisations which may not have ordinarily required such functionality may now need to reconsider in order to safely organise workers.
